Village Profile
Ramdeowadi is small village in Jalgaon Tehsil of Jalgaon District in state of Maharashtra. Village is on Jalgaon Pachora highway 15 km away from Jalgaon City. Village has forest area by its eastern and northern side and agriculture land on southern and western side. There are various lake near by village and big dam around 2 km away from village which provides basic needs of water to villagers. Village is biologically diverse which has various flora and fauna. Forest and lake added more diversity in it. Ramdeowadi village mainly has Banjara tribe all off villagers believe in spiritual guru Ramdevbaba and on his name the village called as Ramdeowadi. There are total 5 temples in village two are of Ramdeobaba , one is Lord Hanuman , one is Lord Shiva and one is Durga Devi. All the Banjara people in village practice their unique culture and speak Banjara language as their first language but they understand Marathi and Hindi also. On the special occasions they were their own traditional clothes. I’m village there is problem of alcohol and tobacco addiction and both male and female are addicted to it. There is poor condition of hygiene and sanitation , also problem of open defecation . I think this mainly happened due to problems in education. The village has one school which is upto class 1 to 4 and 2 anganwari .
People Interaction
I started
my village placement program with people interaction. Initially in this process
my coordinator Vikram Bhai help me.
Village
placement start at Ramdeowadi village in Jalgao District.
I reached
here around 2 pm. After that firstly I clean room arranged my room in proper
way. Then search out tiffin service for me and hopefully I able to do it.
Meeting
with Kabbadi Players : on a very first day I get a chance to interact with
Kabbadi players of Ramdeowadi village. While interact firstly we introduced
ourself to each other and after that they told me about sporting culture of
village . Challenges they facing in this small village for Kabbadi game like
lack of family support, lack of good infrastructure. But although this players
has lot of problems thay have passion and compassion for the game which I
observe during this conversation.
Meeting
with Youth : on a second day of my village placement I went to ground at early
morning around 6 AM where I interact with youngsters of village who are
preparing for competitive exam like police bharti, mpsc and other. I ran with
them on track and told about my purpose of this village placement. There were
around 15 youngsters on ground most of them were graduate .
Public Distribution System Center Visit
To
understand a village and it’s socio economic conditions I visited PDS center.
Most of the villagers have orange card and few of them have yellow card which
which show that village village economic conditions is not so good. Main
occupation in village is agriculture, then many villagers work in Jain
Irrigation Company apart from this few of them in government job. Village has
huge potential in singing and dancing many talented singer in village . Some villagers have their own livestock for
daily needs of milk one thing I surprise
me a lot that in village there is no permission of eating chicken and egg due to some beliefs of
villagers.
Grampanchayat Visit
New grampanchayat office is in under
construction so villagers officers still seats in old office. Village has 7
members in grampanchayat. Gramsevak as a government officers playing his duty
very well. As he told village is changing a lot last 5 years due to his serious
involvement in all development works. As he told there is problem of government
funding but still they manage to implement scheme in village with minimum
resources . CSR activities by Gandhi
research Foundation also play important role in village development earlier
there was problem of drinking water in village but after establishment of Jain
Solar Water Pump village get enough water on daily basis.
Scheme in
Village Waste Management Cleanliness Compost Khadda – for ola kachara Dust bean
4 Vaishali
Cycle for

School Visit
Primary
School in Ramdevwadi
Classes
from 1 standard to 4 th standard School
premises is good. 5 Teachers with school headmaster. Total staff 6.
Mid day
meal scheme successfully run in school. There are around 300 children I’m
school. I think 6 classroom are not enough for such a huge number of student
also school don’t have enough play ground there is hardly any space left after
all student seats in ground. There is also problem of drainage because it flow
in to the middle of school. But after all this challenges student ate very
enthusiastic towards learning a new skills in a life which is one positive
thing I noticed.
Anganwadi Visit
To understand the children of the village I visit to Anganwari.
It was good experience with spending time with children playing with them
understand their way teaching.
Daily around 40 childrens come in anganwari. Anganwari is very creative
and this room have all kind of equipment which will be helpful for teacher to teach this children in interactive
way. Anganwari was small in size but it has all important elements which is
necessary for children growth. Card board, pamphlet, toys helps students to
understand about their surrounding.
Library Visit
The biggest
strength of Ramdeowadi village is its youth. Many youngsters are involved in
preparation of government job like police, and Indian Army. For that they
practice a lot . So to meet with youngster there was no other place than
library in village. Most of them mainly study in library.
Ramdeowadi
is small Village but still it has its own library which was quite surprising
for me. This library is well arranged and open to all for 24 hours. Daily
around 25 students came in library and study here. Mostly students of 10th
and 12th board exams , students of competitive exam mostly study
here. There are two rooms in this library but one was close which needed to
repair. Also surrounding area of library not properly clean which also needed
to be clean for this library.
Education
Daily
Classes
Village has
serious problem of education like high drop out rate, low acceptance of STEM (
Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) after 10th.
There is
huge scope for development in education sector in Ramdeowadi village. Village
has one school class 1 to 4 , two anganwari, and one library.
In fourth
week of village placement
After
spending first three week in sports ecosystem development in village now I want
to start new initiative in education also
Teaching of
school competitive exam to students.
In each
school scholarship exam conducted every year for class 5 and class 8 standard
but most of the students failed to pass this exam due to lack of exam oriented
teaching. So I thought instead of teaching students in school I started extra
classes for students in place where I am stayed.
Exam Included
- Scholarship Class 5
- Navodaya Class 5
- Scholarship class 8
- National Talent Search
Exam Class 8 and 10
In this
class I will try to teach students in innovative way which I learned in one
month internship in Bhavnagar.
The new
initiative about education which I started in my village placement program at
Ramdevwadi getting good response from students.
Today I
thought them about basic numerical to get familiar with mathematics and try to
reduce their fear about math.
This
students are lacking in basic concepts of math. So I teach them types of number
which is most important topic to understand mathematics.
Revision
Session
Revision is
most important components which I always tell my student. So everyday at
beginning of class I took revision session so that student able to recall from
previous classes.
New
Addition in Class
When I
started class two ago only boys come to class in second week only two girls
come but this week 6 new girls join to my class and I feel proud that I able to
influence them also.
Conduct
some activities with students. Many students just wanted to play games and
enjoy but study is also important for them because many students of grade 5 and
6 don’t have basic knowledge of number amd alphabet. So it’s bit of challenging
for me to teach them about numbers and alphabet in grade 5.
Each day I emphasise on
their mental and physical growth so added meditation and prayer so they become
calm. I think students active in various activities throughout a day but they
also need some kind of rest mently so meditation is best way to do that.
Language
All students in my daily class has one common problem that they are not
good in language many of them don’thave enough knowledge of writing and reading
and after carefully understand the problem I understand that they are speaking
a different language at home that is Gormati language of Banjara tribe. So I follow a basic technique
to teach them language from basic level like writing and reading a letter of
Marathi language. Eventually they start to improve their capacity to reading
and writing. I divided them into different group and make sure that each group
should have one member who can read and write. This technique help them.
Basic
Mathematics
I teach
them mathematics by using natural resources like sticks, stone etc. While math
may not seem like a creative subject, it encourages children to be creative.
This is because math is all about finding different solutions to problems.
Students must think outside the box and develop innovative solutions to solve
math problems. This process requires them to draw on their imagination and
think creatively.
In
addition, math can also help children develop their spatial awareness. This is
the ability to visualize objects in three-dimensional space. Children can
develop creative problem-solving skills by understanding how to visualize
objects. It also help me to think out of box to teach them math. This teaching
improve my teaching skills.
Ethical Values
Community Prayer
It very important for me this student should learn the important of prayer in their life so at the end of two hours long class which starts at 5 and ended at 7 pm I took community prayer each day. So this student feel calm and relax after their busy day.
Team Activities
Group Activities
This week I
try to arrange some group activities of student, which help me understand their
capacity their strength and weakness.
Peace Games
Peace Games are the best
methods to involved this students in class
Art and
Craft
Creative Activities

one the main hobbies of student which I observe in this village placement.
Almost half of them are good in painting so I share some tips and method of
painting and drawing to students. I also learn
a lot about painting while interact with them.
Craft

skill on which I will work in upcoming weeks because this children have lot of
potential in craft making. I show them some examples of craft making.

Cultural ActivitiesHoli Celebration
Holi
celebration with students
Students
always enjoy to celebrate festivals but when its about holi it is one of
favourite of them.
On this
occasion of holi I able to understand unique culture of Banaana community to
celebrate holi. It is quite fascinating to experience this unique way of holi
celebration. It 6 day long celebration in which one thing I like the most that
both men and women enjoy the festival and both have equal significance for this
festival.
Cultural
Program
This
happened on holi. All student enjoying their festival so grab this opportunity
and organised one cultural program. With minimum resources like mobile phone
and some colors they wanted in their performance.
Program
started with their individuals perform in which they mostly dance on Ahirani
songs and Banjaara songs.
Follow with group dance and play which I enjoy the most.

After a
massive response from student in athletic training I wanted to improve it from
third week and make it more creative. And also change the timing of training
because most of them didn’t able to wake-up in early morning so I started
training half hour later that is 6:30.
Changes
made in training
• Adding more activities for
warm up.
• Addition of speed drill
and body weight workout for more strength
WhatsApp Group
Creating impact in sports using technology.
Created whatsapp group of some senior players of villages. The motive of
this group is to create a forum where I can share whatever knowledge and
changes happening in sports for developing village social and economic
development. The Impact
Now they get know about various competition of sports happening in the
district, taluka and state level on their mobile itself.
Children
Sports Activities
Additon of
sports activities in this student life is my main motive so I continuously try
to create sports environment in village with the help of this students.
In sports I
continue my daily training session which help me creat good bond with youths.
Many youngsters who preparing for police and army asked me how to prepare for
physical test in such competitive exam. I am fortunate that I able to share my
knowledge in sports and physical fitness to this youngster for their growth and
development.
Sports
helps them teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability,
patience, and self-confidence and prepares them to face life challenges.
Students get a chance to work on their physical and mental abilities to achieve
goals in their life
Hygiene and Sanitation
Sanitation
Rally
Eco Bricks
An eco brick packages all
non-recyclable or compostable waste into a single-use plastic/ PET bottle,
leaving as little air and space as possible. It is often talked about as a
unique solution that helps address pollution and single-use plastic PET bottles.
Through this initiative student take actively involved in making eco bricks by
using plastic in village.
Cleanliness Drive
Cleanliness drive help
this student to realize situation of their village in cleanliness. In this
drive we walk in village went to thlife. ay ground and started picking wrappers
lying scattered there. After collecting them they threw them in to the
dustbins. After doing this job for two to three hours. Students enjoy this and
it give them some kind of satisfaction.
Agriculture visit Ramdeowadi
On 9 March I visited one farm with field officer Vikram bhai. Farmers
name Sunil Pawar. He utilizes his 5 acres land properly. In his farm crops like
sugar cane, red chillies, sunflower along fruit like Banana. Under the
government scheme called Nanaji Deshmukh agriculture scheme he build one shed
net house in his fram in the area of 2016 sq ft. He is getting great profit
from this shed last year he get around 4 lakh profit from cucumber and this
year he doing great business with capsicum. I think this kind of progressive
farmers is inspiration for all farmers in the area.

benefits of Banana flowers and it’s various way or cooking . In this program
Sudhir Bhai plays important role of to translate the all information given by
Maria ji to the women. In this program around 65 women was present and I think
they get a enough information about health benefits of banana flowers so in
future they will not waste it
Dhanora Village
Seed
Collection
I started the new initiative for student called seed collection or seed bank this Seed bank project has importance objectives to conserve diversity of plant/tree species through their seeds and keep seed resources for forest restoration project. The mission of seedbank included many procedures such as seed collection and identification, seed cleaning. Through this activity student able to understand biodiversity in Ramdeowadi village. As a Teacher I able to understand subject matter deeply and flexibly so
that they can help students create useful craft, relate ideas to one another,
and address misconceptions also to see how ideas connect across fields and to
everyday life.
This three months teaching activities help me in sports and class also Interpreting
learners’ statements and actions and shaping productive experiences for them
require an understanding of child and adolescent development and of how to
support growth in various domains – cognitive, social, physical, and emotional.
Teaching in ways that connect with students also requires an understanding of
differences that may arise from culture, family experiences, developed intelligences,
and approaches to learning. It's need to
be able to inquire sensitively, listen carefully, and look thoughtfully at
student work.
