Diwali Then and Now

Yesterday after celebrating second day of Diwali festival that is Laxmipujan I talked with friend about our childhood memories and all that meanwhile he talk about festivals then I came back to ,  He said he is not feeling the same as he used to feel earlier in festival , firstly I thought he became older now so he can't feel the same as he used to feel  when he was child but that's not a case there is something else which is not happening in right direction, after think a while I shifted my thoughts towards changing aspects of society to celebrate our festivals.  Few year ago when we celebrate Diwali and other festivals we used to very excited for it from almost two to three weeks before but now when we are in the middle of Diwali festival but still we don't have that kind of enthusiasm and excitement for festival. 

Reasons

I think there are many reasons for it changing nature of society, mechanization of human, importance for materialistic thinks are probably the main reasons for this. 

Social Reasons

Society is changed a lot, nuclear family is main reason, People migrate from village to city for better employment and never come back to home for any festival and their parents feel alone. Increase in communalism in recent years is also one reason because festival is medium of communal harmony but now days it not happenes to exchange of gifts and wish each others. Villages becomes more dirty and unhygienic now days thats also impact on peoples mindset. 

Economical Reasons

In economical reasons first one is unemployment , youth are jobless because our education system and government is not capable to provide them enough jobs . Increase in economical inequality poor are becoming more poor and and rich become more rich and this inequality diving society into two major group in that generally both having hatred for each other because lack of awareness of situation of each other. 

Psychological Reasons

Human psyche work in different situation in different ways. In period of time as society changes human psyche also changed. Over importance of materialistic things like vehicle, electronic gadgets, social media are the main reason for self centered human being. Humans failed to give importance for living beings over this artificial created world on social media. Many people have thousands of friends on social media but they don't even have good relations with their parents there is lack of communication in family members, neighbors and friends. 

As a modern society we are changing, developing and progressing but we don't know the direction but the one things happens we will become only slave of machines nothing else. Our festival and our culture which is very close to nature we hve to preserve it and together find out the solutions for it.
